Your membership supports young children and families across Colorado.


Visibility

 ECCLA will:

  • Provide Technical Assistance to members in both a group setting(including ECCLA meetings) and on an individual basis as determined by councils' needs and resources available.
  • Consistently represent council work at state level partner meetings and networking events.

  • Provide a state level voice for grass roots council work happening in 58 of the 64 counties.

  • Ensure local councils are well positioned to take advantage of future opportunities in a changing early childhood landscape.


Advocacy

 ECCLA will:

  • Present “one voice” on issues of concern and proposed legislative/executive changes that have the ability to improve comprehensive early childhood services.

  • Become a primary resource to connect local work to state policy efforts.

  • Maintain a well-informed membership by disseminating information about Colorado initiatives, priorities, and public policy activity.

  • Develop and implement consistent messaging about the collective impact of 31 councils.

Networking

 ECCLA will:

  • Facilitate connections and idea sharing among members to support local council priorities and professional development:

    • Host statewide ECCLA meetings six times a year on the Thursday before the CDHS grantee meetings.

    • Manage the ECCLA listserv.

    • Establish a website with links to all ECCLA members and common messaging about ECCLA’s work.

  • Use technology to engage members across the state.  


Resources   

 ECCLA will:

  • Provide Technical Assistance to members in both a group setting(including ECCLA meetings) and on an individual basis as determined by councils' needs and resources available.
  • Facilitate opportunities for mentorship and sharing of expertise among members.

  • Seek funding to support ECCLA’s work and expand resources available to local councils.
